Duties/Responsibilities

• Conduct daily workouts and practices
• Supervision and instruction of student-athletes during all team activities
• Preparation of the football field for all home games
• Promote balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school administrators 
• Motivate athletes
• Work with the school system in building the football program and plan for its future

Qualifications

• CPR / First Aid Training, Fundamentals of Coaching Training, Health and Safety for Coaches, and Concussion Training preferred
• Complete orientation through human resources including fingerprinting and background checks
• Within three years of hiring, successful completion of the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) course and test entitled "Basic Virginia High School League Course" accessible at http://www.asep.com/asep.content/org/VHSL.cfm will be completed.
