POSITION: Maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Properly licensed to operate a motor vehicle
- Practical experience in maintenance (3+ years preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift 55 pounds
- Ability to push / pull a minimum of 20 pounds frequently
- CDL bus license preferred
- Master Electrician's and/or Plumber's license preferred
- Plumbing and HVAC experience preferred
- Computer programing for HVAC experience preferred
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assist Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and maintain operations and maintenance of school buildings.

Deliver custodial supplies to schools.
- Snow removal.
- Maintain mowers and snow blowers.
- Assist the Director of Transportation in servicing of school vehicles.
- Willing to handle on call maintenance-related needs as they arise.

Establishes and recommends priorities on repair projects.

Maintains records and assists in the preperation of reports as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the School Superintendent.

Makes recommendations of supplies and equipment for purchase.

Consult with building principals regarding the establishment of regular preventative maintenance programs.

Effectively communicates with staff, parents, students, and the greater community.

Advise on the hiring of contractors to perform certain maintenance or repair services.
- Participates in staff developement.
- Follows all school division rules, regulations, and policies as well as State and Federal laws.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Division Superintendent.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Operate safely all District provided equipment.

Attend meetings as requested by supervisors or district administration.

Be respectful and courteous to parents, students and staff.

Perform other duties as may be assigned and is able to be inconvenienced to get buildings ready for operation for the next day.

Perform as a team player on other duties as may be assigned.

Dress and grooming should be appropriate. As a representative of the school, presents a professional image to schools and community.
